PTV xServer 1.24.0.3 now available

PTV xServer 1.24.0.3 service release is available now!

It contains several Bugfixes and Improvements, the Highlights of the 1.24.0.3 Version are:

General:

  • Bugfix: Moved the alive port configuration from xserver.properties to <service>.properties to avoid conflicts in PTV xServer bundle.
  • Improvement: The default configuration supports road editor layers up to 60 MB.

PTV xLocate Server:

  • Improvement: Alternative postal abbreviations for states in Australia are supported (e.g. TAS in addition to TA for Tasmania).

PTV xRoute Server:

  • Improvement: The currency enumeration is marked as deprecated as a lot of currencies are outdated. Please use the attribute currencyISOCode instead.
  • Bugfix: A module restart could cause a temporary delay of pending feature layer updates from the PTV Content Update Service for all modules. Now pending update messages are handled correctly on any module restart.

PTV xMap Server:

  • Bugfix: A module restart could cause a temporary delay of pending feature layer updates from the PTV Content Update Service for all modules. Now pending update messages are handled correctly on any module restart.

PTV xTour Server:

  • Improvement: Added the new planning parameter avoidEarlyRecreations to avoid break and rest at the beginning of the tour.
  • Bugfix: The length of truck and trailer operating intervals must take at least one second.
  • Bugfix: The assignment from orders to depots at the beginning of the planning considers the correct vehicles for the feasibility check.
  • Bugfix: The selection of the internal algorithm with the attribute basicConstructionMethod now also works for the overnight planning.
  • Bugfix: Changed the method findToursForUnscheduledOrder to get a proposal if the there is no input plan available.

Toll update Belgium available

Belgium

  • TollCalculation Liefkenshoek Tunnel with new time-dependent (day/night) rate.
  • This scenario includes the toll charges from july 2017, for trucks from a maximum authorised mass over 3,5 t in the three Belgian regions: Wallonia, Flanders and Brussels.
  • Toll roads include motorways, additional main roads and the local road network in Brussels.
  • Toll charges are calculated based on kilometre factors and depend on the road type and further depend on the emission class and total weight of the vehicle.
  • This scenario replaces the previous ‘Belgium 2016 v4’ scenario.
  • Type of calculation: By approximation with an average factor per kilometer.

PTV xServer 2.3 available now

We proudly present our PTV xServer 2.3.0 release with eight services in total. The well-known geographic services xMap, xLocate, xRoute and the logistics services xDima, xCluster, xTour, xLoad made significant further progress. In addition we offer  the emergent new service xData which will enable you to request data directly from the map.

Some highlights are:

  • xLocate
    • xLocate now allows to search for addresses using structured input (aka multi-field) (This feature is experimental, that means API changes my occur in the future).
    • Search for locations by a list of addresses is now possible (aka bulk geocoding). (This feature is experimental, that means API changes my occur in the future).
  • xRoute/xDima – Geographic restrictions allow and prohibit countries and continents consideration during the route calculation.
  • xTour
    • Planning horizons can now be considered.
    • There are now parameters to limit the maximum travel and driving time of a tour.
  • xLoad – Converted from experimental to productive usage.
  • xCluster – Beside the free CBC solver the commercial Gurobi solver can be used to improve performance.

For on-premise solutions you can download the latest version from the Developer Zone.

For cloud solutions we provide a test system based on this release. It contains the PTV xServer 2.3 release plus all future and finished changes for the next release:

Some notes:

  • The PTV xServer 2 requires a 2017.1 map or newer.
  • The corresponding geocoding data for on-premise solutions is on request. It is not included in the map. This is required for running xLocate. (The data is only available for PTV Europe City Map 2017.1 and 2017.2 from HERE). On the other hand this data is installed for cloud solutions.
  • The test system on PTV xServer internet has PTV Europe City Map 2017.2 (HERE) installed. A productive system is planned for October.

It contains several Bugfixes and Improvements, the Highlights of the 1.24.0.1 Version are:

PTV xRoute Server: : Performance improvement in the calculateMatrixInfo method, if the start or the destination is restricted by traffic incidents and better caching of time zone information.

PTV xMap Server: Better caching of time zone information.

PTV xTour Server: Shorter reaction time in case of cancelling an area tour planning (e.g. by limiting the available machine time). Additionally there is a bugfix for the consideration of priorities. If there are no priorities at all orders present, this is now correctly considered in the planning algorithm.
