Detailed Toll for Switzerland, Great Britain, Italia, Norway and Sweden available

We activated the detailed toll layers for Switzerland, Great Britain, Italia, Norway and Sweden referenced to PTV Europe / World Map Premium 2020.2H today, on May 05, 2020 on our Layer Delivery Server (LDS). Now, it is possible to download detailed toll layers via Content Update Service (CUS).

Please remember: to use the detailed toll on premise you need to follow these steps:

Step 1: Activate the detailed toll download via content update service in you xserver.conf.

Step 2: Enable the detailed toll calculation in the xserver.conf or in your request.

The detailed toll in Switzerland, Great Britain, Italia, Norway and Sweden is released for PTV xServer from version 2.17. 
Please be aware that in version 2.15 the parameter useDetailedToll is activated automatically. If you like to use the basic toll you need to set it to false.

Discontinuation notice for PTV Mapserver and PTV xServer add-on PTV Feature Layer (FL) “PTV_TruckWaitingTimes”

From May 05, 2020, PTV will no longer provide updates or support for PTV Feature Layer (FL) “PTV_TruckWaitingTimes” (for all versions) used by PTV xServer.

The reason for this discontinuation notice is that the data providers stopped any data support. Therefore, PTV cannot keep the services up and running.

In accordance with PTV Group’s product discontinuation policy, we are providing you notice of this phase-out so that you have adequate time to replace the solutions via updating to the latest software versions available.

PTV Group is committed to providing the highest level of quality and service to you. Based on your requests, we constantly enhance our software and keep integrating new and improved functions and contents. Therefore, we strongly advise you to partake in our maintenance contract, as it integrates extended functions and ensures their systems always remain up-to-date – a basic prerequisite for their day-to-day operations. 

To meet the growing requirements, PTV Group, like other software providers, needs to limit the number of software versions available. This way, we can always make sure that our resources stay focused on further improving PTV xServer, PTV xServer add-ons and PTV Maps as the current software solutions create the perfect conditions for your business applications to excel.

Discontinuation notice for PTV Mapserver and PTV xServer add-on Traffic Info Loader (TIL) and Traffic Message Cannel (TMC) Data

From May 05, 2020, PTV will no longer provide updates or support for the listed traffic messages: 

 

  • Traffic messages from HERE based on the data format ML3 / WFS used by PTV Mapserver and PTV xServer
  • Traffic Info Loader (TIL) – all versions
  • Traffic message channel (TMC) as a component providing the location codes from HERE

The reason for this discontinuation notice is that the data providers stopped any data support. Therefore, PTV cannot keep the services up and running.

We activated the detailed toll layers for Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Norway and Belgium referenced to PTV Europe / World Map Premium 2020.2H today, on March 16, 2020 on our Layer Delivery Server (LDS). You now have the possibility to download the detailed toll layers via Content Update Service (CUS).

Please remember: to use the detailed toll on premise you need to follow these steps:

Toll Update (2020_02) Czech Republic

This scenario contains the current toll charges in Czech Republic on the basis of the last available tariffs, valid from January 2020. Type of calculation: exact. Accuracy: 90%. New toll roads (868 km).

PTV xServer internet was updated on Wednesday, February 19, 2020.

Toll Update (2020_01) Austria

New toll rates valid from 1st January, 2020. This scenario replaces the previous scenario ‘Austria January 2020’. Type of calculation: Exact.

Furthermore, this update includes a bugfix of toll update 2019_17, which includes the section differentiation of toll prices per road type.

PTV xServer internet will be updated on Wednesday, January 29th, 2020.
