Toll Update February 2016 available now

There are new toll scenarios available containing tariff updates for 18 European Countries.

Due to a new toll calculation method for the new Belgium toll, calculations for Belgium with a planning date after 01.04.2016 with a current PTV xServer please consider the following notes:

  • The current PTV xServer support a basic calculation of exact toll in Belgium. That means tollTotals include the sum of all three Belgium toll regions: Wallonia, Flanders and Brussels.
  • With the parameter allEuro set, you get the results in Euro. Otherwise you will get the virtual country currency ‘XXX’ for Belgium toll sections which translates to 1/10000 Euro.
  • With the parameter detailedTollCosts activated, you get the result for every toll section. This result list of toll sections in Belgium may get very long.
    (allEuro and detailedTollCosts can be set in the countryInfoOptions.)
  • The new Belgium toll calculation will influence the performance.

The PTV xServer 1.22 release, which is planned for early March 2016, will fully support the Belgium toll. The country currency will be Euro (as expected) and the toll regions will be distinguishable by providerID. That means the result list with detailedTollCosts activated will contain concarnated toll sections by provider ID.

 

The download is available on the customer area of the PTV Developer Zone now. For the PTV Mapserver please use the current version of the PTV Toll Update Tool. This toll update is already released on LDS for PTV xServer and Mapserver. The Release for PTV xServer internet will follow on 02.03.2016.

New PTV Mapserver release

The new release of PTV Mapserver 5.11 is now available for download in the Customer Area . This release contains following improvements:

  • Geocoding improvement: A new property is introduced which sets the number of leading characters that are not used for fuzzy search. Due to performance reasons, the first and second characters are not used for fuzzy search. So, typos in these characters are not handled by this search. If performance is not of major interest, the property NumberOfLeadingNonFuzzyCharacters can be set to 0 (or 1) to avoid this limitation.
  • Geocoding improvement: A new column erpMatchingLevel is introduced in the
    result set of method IGeocode::FindCoordinates(). The corresponding value for
    each result entry indicates the data level, which was responsible for finding
    this result. For example, a matching level = 11 indicates a finding via road  intersection
  • Common improvement: CodingInfo.ini used by the CodingTool object, is updated
    by additional currencies (for example Mexican peso), and by removed legacy
    currencies like Latvian Lats, which is replaced by Euro.

Get the new service release for PTV xServer

1.20.1We provide a new service release for all PTV xServer. The new release contains several improvements and bugfixes.

  • Improvement: Improved performance when amending a new location by avoiding calculation of unnecessary distance matrix fields.
  • Bugfix: Capital Cities are displayed correctly at all zoom levels
  • Bugfix: The API RoutingParameter ALLOW_SEGMENT_VIOLATIONS works again.
  • Bugfix: Input plans are handled correctly for planOvernightTours

Additionaly, there is a security update which concerns all PTV xServer:

  • Security Update: commons-collections update to 3.2.2

Toll Update for Hungary available

UngarnUpdate your toll scenarios and get the new tariffs and toll roads for Hungary.

This scenario contains the kilometre-based lorry toll in Hungary (regulation Nr. 57/2014). The provision applies to all lorries in excess of 3.5 tons, on motorways and other major transport routes. Cost is calculated based on the number of axles and the emission class. Motorways and the major secondary routes are identified on the map as subject to toll. New tariffs for Agendorf / Ágfalva – Schattendorf. Calculation type: Exact. This scenario replaces the previous scenario ‘Hungary 2015’.

World City Map released for PTV xServer Internet!

The PTV World City Map 2015T is now available for PTV xServer Internet and it includes this several features:

  • Geocoding: Multi Field Search with Country Code is recommended.weltkarte
  • Mapping: Rendering of Feature Layer Themes depending on the availability in the respective region.
  • Routing: Intercontinental routing is possible between Europe, Middle East and Africa. Further intercontinental and continental routing will be possible as provider connections are present.
  • Trip Planning: Continental Trip planning.
  • Map Matching: Continental Mapmatching.
