New for Microsoft TechEd Europe: PTV xServer is Microsoft Azure Certified

PTV software components are available on the Microsoft Azure Marketplace.

Frank Felten, Vice President of Logistics Product Management & Software Development at PTV Group: “Our PTV xServers, Microsoft Azure Certified, have many advantages for our customers: you have the functionality of the PTV xServers and can run it simply and quickly without having to install it yourself and without individual operating costs.2014-10-29_PTV-xServer_MS-Azure_300dpi_01

Like in a car configurator, the PTV xServer package customer simply selects the Azure machine size (cores and RAM) and the required data centre location in the Azure Marketplace – and click! – soon afterwards the application is ready to be deployed. The per-hour calculation of performance as well as the billing process is simple and carried out directly by Microsoft. For us, the certification means that we are meeting the demand for cloud-based developer solutions that are also attractive for small and medium-sized companies but across a broader distribution channel, and we can therefore get more people interested worldwide.”

Applications and services like PTV xServer, which meet the requirements for Microsoft Azure Certified, are tested both by Microsoft and by the provider for their cloud capability.2014-10-29_PTV-xServer-North-America_MS-Azure_300dpi_01 “We are very excited that the PTV Group is part of the Microsoft Azure Certified program. With our technical certification, we are confident that the PTV xServer is a reliable solution, an important requirement for these customers when choosing a solution partner,” adds Vibhor Kapoor, Director of Product Marketing, Microsoft Azure.
