PTV xServer internet – Update on PTV World City Map cluster Here with API Version 2

We would like to inform we plan maintenance on the PTV World City Map [Here] production clusters with API Version 2.

The production clusters will be updated according to the following schedule.

  • April 4th , 2023 : Update on xserver2-eu production cluster
    • Update to PTV xServer version 2.28.1
    • Update to PTV World City Map 2023.2H
  • April 5th, 2023: Update on xserver2-us production cluster
    • Update to PTV xServer version 2.28.1
    • Update to PTV World City Map 2023.2H
  • April 6th, 2023: Update on xserver2-au production cluster
    • Update to PTV xServer version 2.28.1
    • Update to PTV World City Map 2023.2H
  • April 11th, 2022 : Update on xserver2-eu2 production cluster
    • Update to PTV xServer version 2.28.1
    • Update to PTV World City Map 2023.2H  
  • April 12th, 2022 : Update on xserver2-us2 production cluster
    • Update to PTV xServer version 2.28.1
    • No map update because of FL General Truck Restriction usage

The test system xserver2-eu-test is updated already, please test your application during the test phase and report any faults immediately to our support.xServer support.de@xserver.ptvgroup.com.  

 

 

PTV xServer 2.28.1 released

The new PTV xServer API version 2.28.1 is available! The reasons are two bugfixes in xRoute. The second one only applies to the new Feature Layer PTV_RestrictionZones for Austria:

  • xRoute

    • Bugfix: Fixed bug when considering custom Feature Layer covering several countries in special cases.

    • Bugfix: Fixed crash when requesting Feature Layer ‘PTV_RestrictionZones’ and waypoints located in Austria.

For on-premise solutions you can download the latest version from the PTV xServer Customer Area: https://www.ptvgroup.com/en/solutions/products/ptv-xserver/customer-area/ (login and license required)

For cloud solutions we provide a test and production system based on this release. PTV xServer internet will be updated following this schedule:

  • 21.03.23: Test systems
  • 04.04.23: Productive system hosted in Europe
  • 05.04.23: Productive system hosted in US
  • 06.04.23: Productive system hosted in Australia

PTV xServer internet – SSL certificate update 2023

We would like to inform you that we plan to change our SSL certificates in the upcoming week beginning on March 14th, 2023 until March 19th, 2023.

This change is needed because the current certificate new certificate (*.cloud.ptvgroup.com) runs out on March 22nd, 2023.

We will start on March 14th, 2023, on the production systems, and we will finish the certificate updates until March 19th, 2023.

Today the test systems of PTV xServer internet were updated successfully with the new certificate.
For those who need to add the new certificate to their chain, we added the new certificate as attachment:

wildcard_cloud_ptvgroup_com_316416_USER.crt.pfx

Please test your application on the already updated test system and report any problem immediately to our support.xServer support.de@xserver.ptvgroup.com.

The production clusters will be updated according to the following schedule.

  • February 21st , 2023 : Update on xserver2-eu production cluster:
    • Update to PTV xServer version 2.28
    • Update to PTV World City Map 2023.1aH and Bugfix for Feature Layer Truck Attributes
  • February 22nd, 2023: Update on xserver2-us production cluster:
    • Update to PTV xServer version 2.28
    • Update to PTV World City Map 2023.1aH and Bugfix for Feature Layer Truck Attributes
  • February 23rd, 2023: Update on xserver2-au production cluster:
    • Update to PTV xServer version 2.28
    • Update to PTV World City Map 2023.1aH and Bugfix for Feature Layer Truck Attributes
  • February 28th, 2022 : Update on xserver2-eu2 production cluster:
    • Update to PTV xServer version 2.28
    • Update to PTV World City Map 2023.1aH and Bugfix for Feature Layer Truck Attributes  
  • March 2nd, 2022 : Update on xserver2-us2 production cluster:
    • Update to PTV xServer version 2.28
    • No map update because of FL General Truck Restriction usage

PTV xServer 2.28 released

The new PTV xServer API version 2.28 is available! Main reason is the Java 17 support, which is the latest Java LTS (Long-Term-Support) version. Please note that Java 8 is no longer supported. As Java is not integrated in the PTV xServer, you have to install Java 17 separately. And there are two additional highlights:

  • xCluster
    • Support of Gurobi as standard optimization solver to improve the planning results
  • xRoute
    • Support of restricted road sections in Austria (“Ziel- und Quellverkehr”, data available in the HERE maps from 2023.2H on)

The PTV Content Update Service 2.28 is also available and supports Java 8 and Java 17. It is still possible to run PTV xServer 1 (Java 8) and 2 (Java 17) on the same system as you can set an additional environment variable like ‘XSERVER1_JAVA_HOME’ to the Java 8 path.

PTV xServer internet – Update on PTV America City Map cluster Here with API Version 1 – rescheduled

We would like to inform you that we rescheduled the maintenance on the PTV America City Map [Here] production cluster with API Version 1.

The following tasks will be completed in the scope of this maintenance:

  • Update on NA-N production cluster on February 14th, 2023
    • Map update to PTV EuropeAmerica City Map 2023.1H
