Date: Tuesday, March 20, 2012

Time: 16:00 – 17:00 CET
(new starting time!)

Joost Claessen and Bernd Welter

PTV xMapMatch Server is one of the latest tools in our PTV xServer suite. It can be used to convert GPS trace to real driven routes and get the details from the route. This is a process we call map matching.

During the session:

  • We’ll go into the difference between map matching and regular routing.
  • We’ll discuss some use cases where you map matching can be applied.
  • We’ll conclude the session with a demonstration of a sample application.

If you are already registered for the webinars you will receive the Session ID several days before the session starts by e-mail.

Otherwise please visit the PTV Developer Zone to register.

PTV xServer add-on WebSDK – Code Sample Browser

The WebSDK is a web-based application that can execute and edit PTV xServer samples. You can access a demo version [here].

You select your sample in the upper area of the WebSDK. For convenient navigation, samples are filtered by business and use case. The lower area shows the actual sample, which includes a short background information and short instructions where necessary – samples are mostly self-explanatory.

In the left upper side of the sample area there are three small buttons that toggle between editing and execution modes, reset the sample, or open a help page. In the editing mode you can inspect sample sources, change them, and switch back to execution mode for a live demonstration.

Have fun exploring the riches of the PTV xServers!
