New Technical Concept – Position Matching versus Locations By Position

In the new version of the documentation of PTV Developer Geocoding & Places API and Map Matching API you find a new technical concept explaining  the difference between Postion Matching and Location By Position end point.

We often get questions which endpoint should be used for which use case. Therfore we like to provide this concept to answer this question in our documentation.

The concept Position Matching versus Locations By Position lines out the basic concept, the features of each end point and the return values.
There is also a suggestion which end point can be used for what use case.

You can calculate toll or emissions for a driven route if you combine the PTV Developer Map Matching API and PTV Developer Routing API.
