Toll Update Forecast 2019 for Germanys federal trunk roads

Please note: The this toll update will not be downloadable in the customer area of the PTV Developer Zone.
You can use PTV Content Update Service to automatically download and install the toll updates for your PTV xServer installation.

We recommend to use PTV Content Update Service Version 2.x.
Also your current PTV xServer API Version 1 can work with PTV Content Update Service Version 2.x – using  PTV CUS xServer 1 Adapter.
For PTV Mapserver please use the PTV Toll Update Tool.
PTV xServer internet was updated recently.

PTV xServer internet – Renewal of the SSL certificate

We would like to inform you that we will update our SSL certificate in the week of October 8th 2018.

All changes will be happening “behind-the-scenes”, so you shouldn’t need to take action, nor should you encounter problems or interruptions to the service.

Nevertheless, we want to give you the chance to test your applications with the new certificate. Therefore, the PTV Europe City Map (TomTom) test cluster was updated already to the new SSL certificate.

PTV xServer internet uses a SSL certificate issued by T-Systems Trust Center. This certificate is usually supported by the majority of clients, client library or browsers. The certificate is deployed e.g. on https://xmap-eu-n-test.cloud.ptvgroup.com; it can be viewed or downloaded through any browser.

In Google Chrome you need to navigate to https://xmap-eu-n-test.cloud.ptvgroup.com and to open the Security pane in the development tools (F12):

If your client requires manual configuration to establish the trust chain, you will find the official root and intermediate certificates here:

Please refer to your client documentation for further details how to import and activate those certificates.

PTV xServer 1.26.0.3 service release – now available

PTV xServer 1.26.0.3 service release is available now!

Besides some bugfixes in PTV xLocate and xRoute, the main reasons for this release are:

  • Retry mechanism for failed module restarts to gain more stability
  • Support of the updated French decree for emissions

Update on Layer Delivery Service (LDS) for PTV Content Update Service

featurelayerThe new release of the Layer Delivery Service (LDS) replaces the previous version creating the Feature Layer Traffic Incidents. Normally the LDS supply the Feature Layer into the products automatically, but with the update there is something to take care of:

Please restart your Content Update Service (CUS) to refresh the connection and get the newest layers from the new LDS. For all Content Update Service versions, this has to be done manually.

For your information we have recently released the CUS Version 2.8.0.
This is now fully featured to supply Toll Updates and Feature Layer Traffic Incidents. The CUS Version 2.8 can also be used with PTV xServer API Version 1 when using the PTV CUS xServer1 Adapter.

The PTV Content Update Service 2.8 and the respective PTV CUS xServer1 Adapter can be downloaded from the customer area of the PTV Developer Zone (login required).

Toll Update for Belgium available

  • TollCalculationhis scenario includes the toll charges from July 2018, for trucks from a maximum authorised mass over 3.5 t in the three Belgian regions: Wallonia, Flanders and Brussels. Toll roads include motorways, additional main roads and the local road network in Brussels. Toll charges are calculated based on kilometre factors and depend on the road type and further depend on the emission class and total weight of the vehicle.
